NEWPORT BEACH, CA – MAY 19, 2011: Bobby Okvist, 18, of Newport Beach, bails off his board Thursday evening after riding a large wave, some reaching 20 feet on the face, from a south swell that originated in the Pitcairn Island area of the South Pacific at the Wedge in Newport Beach. NOAA has issued a high surf advisory for south-facing beaches through Friday evening.
