Pirelli Previews its 50th Anniversary Calendar for 2014

Known to many as the fifth largest tire manufacturer in the world, Pirelli is perhaps even more well-known outside of the automotive industry for its infamous annual calendar. Nearly impossible to obtain – just 20,000 copies are printed per year, each going to those on an exclusive VIP list – the famed tradition has previously featured the work of photography heavyweights like Brian Duffy, Herb Ritts, Annie Lebovitz, Mario Testino, and Steve McCurry while a bevy of super models have graced its glossy pages. Now, as the calendar gets set to celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2014, Pirelli has teamed up with Patrick Demarchelier and Peter Lindbergh to shoot the commemorative edition of the publication. Completed in New York City this summer, the upcoming release features the likes of Miranda Kerr, Helena Christensen, Alessandra Ambrosio, Karolina Kurkova, Alek Wek, Isabeli Fontana, and more.
