FULL PAGE SCREENSHOTS

Thanks for this great find Tyler Wolff –

Ever wanted to take a full page screen shot of a website you love? I know I’m always wishing there was a simple way to do just that. When I find a site that inspires me I normally end up with a bunch of mismatched screenshots all from a single page and this makes it hard to get a grasp of how the full page flows, not to mention the mess of screenshots I’m left with.

Luckily, I recently stumbled upon a browser extension called Awesome Screenshot that is the perfect solution for capturing full page screenshots. Available for both Safari and Chrome (firefox coming soon…), this simple extension really makes taking screenshots a breeze. Here’s what it looks like:

How To

Browse to a page that you want to capture, and click the small lens icon in the menu bar. You can take a standard screenshot of the window or choose to grab the full page. Once you choose, the page is captured and then you are free to do what you will with the screenshot.

What’s also cool about this extension is that it allows you to make annotations on the screenshot from within the browser. You can even blur sensitive information right then and there.

Capture Options

Once you’ve captured the page and made your annotations, you are shown the page below. You can share the screen shot via services like twitter and email. However, you can also instantly share the screenshot online via www.awesomescreenshot.com.

STOP THE WATER WHILE USING ME

Stop the Water While Using Me is a German brand of all-natural cosmetics predicated on a mutual promise. The consumer stops the water while using the products, the producers don’t use artificial ingredients, animal testing or waste energy during production. The line includes a variety of different products, including body lotion, but focuses on the places where people waste the most water, like washing hair and washing hands. Stop the Water While Using Me excludes ingredients like mineral oils, paraffin and silicone. It contains no synthetic fragrances and is packaged in minimalist, re-fillable bottles. The line doesn’t skimp on smell, though, with strong natural fragrances like rosemary grapefruit and sesame sage. It can be found at colette, or online via Stop-the-water-while-using-me.com.

New Zealand All Blacks: all heroes

HBTV: New Zealand All Blacks – all heroes from HBTV on Vimeo.

“all heroes” – a creative concept developed by Auckland’s Qubic Store and adidas Originals for New Zealand’s national rugby team, the legendary ‘All Blacks.’ A 128-year-old sporting franchise and ranked number one internationally, the All Blacks enjoy a fearsome reputation amongst their competitors and hold a mystical fascination for fans worldwide through iconic symbols like the Haka and the Silver Fern.

Directed by Frank Liew of Qubic Store and Sean Wallace of Eyeball Moving Image, the “all heroes” short film features four of the most iconic contemporary All Blacks to ever take to the field and explores the aura of the team as interpreted by Auckland-based illustrator and artist Elliot F. Stewart.

“all heroes” also features a sneak preview of a limited run adidas Originals x Qubic Store x All Blacks Campus 80s shoe, the first-ever adidas Originals licensed shoe with the All Blacks due for release later this month.

Androp ‘Bell’ Interactive Music Video

Japanese band, Androp, breaks out from the mold with an interactive music video for their single ‘Bell’. Created by creative company, Party, listeners are given an opportunity to be part of the music video as they play the game.

Found at the Androp site, you are able to create an animal, which varies from a rabbit to an elephant depending on the number of words you type in, that you control to dodge oncoming obstacles.

Beautifully illustrated with simple black and white graphics, each time you knock into an obstacle, a letter of your message changes. Thus you’re challenged to make sure your message stays intact, while the band’s song plays in the background.

Have a go at it here.

Qubic + All Blacks + adidas Originals ‘All Heroes’ Campus 80s

This has the collaboration I’ve been waiting for. I’m a die-hard All Blacks supporter and there’s no better time to drop these than the Rugby World Cup.

“A limited run of 100 all black Campus 80s bearing the famous NZ silver fern on the heel and a crimson Qubic insole, this is the first ever All Blacks release for adidas Originals. Taking things to the next level, 15 super-limited pairs encased in a steel carry box will be available first come, first serve at Qubic on Friday 23rd of September, with the remaining 85 pairs dropping instore and online that same day. Each pair of All Heroes Campus 80s also comes with a pack of limited edition collector cards by NZ comic artist Elliot F. RRL Ralph Lauren Autumn/Winter 2011 Collection

RRL Ralph Lauren’s A/W Collection is one the best campaigns I’ve seen for awhile and executed so well for ‘pre war inspired’ clothing. I’d love to see the production process for these shots from what they were shot on to the working files. Well done!
