Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Announcement
For those who have been diehard gamers for a long time will know the origin of how Counter-Strike began as a modification from the Valve title Half-Life and from there grew into a game of its own. I love first person style games on PS3 but have never played Counter-Strike so I’m looking forward to testing second edition due for release early 2012. Expect to see it on all gaming platforms – PC, Mac, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Mick Boogie: Excursions-Rarities and Remixes of A Tribe Called Quest
A Tribe Called Quest is one of my favorite groups of all time… in any genre of music. After seeing Michael Rapaport’s amazing documentary on the group, I felt inspired to put together a mix and this is the end result. This is NOT a greatest hits mix. This mix is for the true Tribe fans only… the die-hards who know every lyric and remember every interlude. I thought it would be cool to basically create the “lost” Tribe album… with all the rare songs, demos, limited-edition remixes, and collaborations you may have missed over the years. I hope when you enjoy this as much as I do, and hear some things you have never heard before. Special thank you toUNDRCRWN for the amazing artwork. Long live A Tribe Called Quest!
Wallpaper* + Reebok + A-Cero
A-Cero are by far one of the most talented international architectural firms around. So it’s not surprising that when Wallpaper* Magazine asked the firm to create a design that was inspired by the new Reebok ZigTech running shoe. Here’s a behind the scenes video of their creation.
Speedboat Concept for Bugatti Veyron
Designer Ben Walsh created this super stylish speedboat concept, inspired by the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport. The boat features a single 1000-horsepower engine and a quad turbo W16. Love the colour way.
Street Fighter Artwork
Street Fighter is still one of my all time favourite games. The evolution of each new edition from the graphics, speed and characters made it always draw a crowd of players and spectators in the gaming arcades and one Nintendo. Here’s a few illustrations by various artists of some of the original and latest characters. Sagat was my favourite player.

8 Hours in Brooklyn
8 Hours in Brooklyn from Next Level Pictures on Vimeo.
This video was simply shot with a Phantom Flex camera, the concept behind the video was to document whatever the group could find in Brooklyn, New York during an eight hour time span.
The Flake
The Flake, Da Feng’s latest design, is covered in hinged carbon-fiber pieces. Each one is connected by carbon nanotubes to tiny solenoids that can make them stand up or lay flat, like an angry cat puffing up its fur. Each “flake”, is made of carbon fiber, and can go from perfectly flat and streamlined to standing up nearly vertically. So if you want to go fast, all the flakes lie flat, but when you turn, all the flakes on one side of the car will stand up, helping lock the car down to the road. The Flake car, its wheels are made out of twelve independently extendable leg-things, allowing for an adjustable contact surface. Their 12 “legs” extend and contract in response to the road surface and vehicle speed, the bottom part of the “wheel” flattens at high speeds, turning the circle into a D-shape, so Feng calls them D-wheels.

The Antics Roadshow Produced by Banksy
With the current riots in the UK right now. Why does it now surprise me that Banksy is airing an hour-long special ‘The Antics Roadshow’ August 13th on Channel 4. For all those OS you can see it broadcast on 4oD. Contributors include Michael Fagan talking about breaking into the Queen’s bedroom: ‘I looked into her eyes, they were dark’; and Noel Godin, who pioneered attacking celebrities with custard pies: ‘Instead of a bullet I give them a cake’. The program will also include the first interview with the man responsible for the absurd turfhead Winston Chruchill stunt.
Apple iPhone 5 Rendering
Could the rumours be true?! Could this be the next iPhone 5? There’s a few nice improvements to it including the width and reduced thickness.
Chinese manufacturers seem to be fairly confident with a set of recently leaked Apple iPhone 5 designs, as they’ve already started producing cases based on that document. In turn, Mac Rumors commissioned CiccareseDesign to create high quality iPhone 5 renderings made as closely as possible to the leaked case designs.
Speculation lead to a more oval shaped home button, a 4 inch screen, tapered edges on the back in aluminum (rather than glass as on the iPhone 4). “The final dimensions of the new design are calculated to be: 4.33″ x 2.36″ and .27″ thickness at the top and .21″ at the bottom In comparison, the iPhone 4 dimensions are: 4.5″ x 2.31″ x .37″. So the new design is actually shorter than the existing iPhone 4, but slightly wider and thinner.”
The iPhone 5 is expected to be released in September or October of this year.
Yong Ho Ji ‘Mutant Mythos’ Sculptures
Korean artist, Yong Ho Ji is by far one of my favourite sculptural artists around. The life-sized tyre sculptures are the artist’s way of reminding people of their responsibility to nature. The impressive detail of muscle form looks intimidating, are actually held up by steel, wood and styrofoam, and the collection has been exhibited at Gana Art in New York and around the world. Yong Ho Ji’s sculptures are classified according to herbivores, carnivores and omnivores, and are comprised of animal or animal and part human.
Converse by John Varvatos ‘SJV CT Double Zip Hi’
John Varvatos’ grunge and punk inspired designs have been seen on Converse sneakers since 2001. The shoe’s upper is made of soft black leather and have two zips alongside the laces that are made out of suede; complete luxury in a shoe. The black and white cons are timeless, so it’s nice to see a little ‘tweak’ to them without taking away from the original looks.
The Barcode House
This house was designed by David Jameson Architect and is inspired by barcodes. Great space and I love that they could incorporate a little rooftop terrace.
adidas Originals Etrusco “Hemp”
