See how many big names you can spot.
Sweet Meats by JASMIN SCHULLER
I think these would even fool a vegetarian. Check out more of the talented work by Jasmin Schuller here.
Kanye’s Black Book
Kanye is building quite the black book of ladies any man would dream of. Just in the past week alone the rapper was spotted having dinner with Australian supermodel Sian Honeybell (cool last name) at the Maritime Hotel in NYC. He’s also been spotted with Victoria’s Secret models Kate Upton, Candice Swanepoel, Selita Ebanks and Romanian model Alina Puscau at his album after-party.
God speed to you Mr West. You’re living the dream.
Adam Kimmel + Carhartt Collection
Adam Kimmel’s signature collaboration with classic American workwear brand Carhartt. Will this be the collection that will help Carhartt get a foot into the door of higher end fashion circles. I love their gear for their basics.

The Antics Roadshow Produced by Banksy
With the current riots in the UK right now. Why does it now surprise me that Banksy is airing an hour-long special ‘The Antics Roadshow’ August 13th on Channel 4. For all those OS you can see it broadcast on 4oD. Contributors include Michael Fagan talking about breaking into the Queen’s bedroom: ‘I looked into her eyes, they were dark’; and Noel Godin, who pioneered attacking celebrities with custard pies: ‘Instead of a bullet I give them a cake’. The program will also include the first interview with the man responsible for the absurd turfhead Winston Chruchill stunt.
Jay-Z & Kanye West: Otis
For me personally Jay-Z and Kanye’s new album ‘Watch The Throne’ lived up to all the hype. I love an album I can continue to listen to and appreciate more and more of the songs each time. Spike Jonez was called in to direct the first film clip off the new album. Only these two dudes could chop up a Maybach and turn it into a Mad Max style ride.
Apple iPhone 5 Rendering
Could the rumours be true?! Could this be the next iPhone 5? There’s a few nice improvements to it including the width and reduced thickness.
Chinese manufacturers seem to be fairly confident with a set of recently leaked Apple iPhone 5 designs, as they’ve already started producing cases based on that document. In turn, Mac Rumors commissioned CiccareseDesign to create high quality iPhone 5 renderings made as closely as possible to the leaked case designs.
Speculation lead to a more oval shaped home button, a 4 inch screen, tapered edges on the back in aluminum (rather than glass as on the iPhone 4). “The final dimensions of the new design are calculated to be: 4.33″ x 2.36″ and .27″ thickness at the top and .21″ at the bottom In comparison, the iPhone 4 dimensions are: 4.5″ x 2.31″ x .37″. So the new design is actually shorter than the existing iPhone 4, but slightly wider and thinner.”
The iPhone 5 is expected to be released in September or October of this year.

Street Dreams
When I was a teenager, I lived and breathed Skateboarding. ‘Study time’ after school for me was spent skateboarding on the front driveway and every weekend. Especially Friday nights were some of the most memorable times for me meeting up with all my skater buddies in the city to explore the city terrain like a pack of rats. Sometimes we’d have a crew 30 of us take over the streets bombing hills and weaving in and out of traffic. It was the natural high it gave me and the fact it didn’t matter if you were a private school or public school kid, 9 to 5 paper pusher or living off government hand outs. We all shared a love for skateboarding and it taught us all a lot about appreciating different cultures.
I stupidly gave up skateboarding after I finished school and only continued to surf on the weekends, but after moving to Hong Kong I don’t have the luxury of beaches on my doorstep anymore so a friend has motivated me to get back into skateboarding as a form of exercise and to re-channel that love of the sport and help it inspire my creative work. I obviously no where near as good as I was before (which is so frustrating) but I’m loving it and it’s a great way to explore a new city. On the way home from this session I bumped into a few of the local boys – Francis and Paul. Who run some of HK’s top clubs and bars Fly, Volar.
Yong Ho Ji ‘Mutant Mythos’ Sculptures
Korean artist, Yong Ho Ji is by far one of my favourite sculptural artists around. The life-sized tyre sculptures are the artist’s way of reminding people of their responsibility to nature. The impressive detail of muscle form looks intimidating, are actually held up by steel, wood and styrofoam, and the collection has been exhibited at Gana Art in New York and around the world. Yong Ho Ji’s sculptures are classified according to herbivores, carnivores and omnivores, and are comprised of animal or animal and part human.
Converse by John Varvatos ‘SJV CT Double Zip Hi’
John Varvatos’ grunge and punk inspired designs have been seen on Converse sneakers since 2001. The shoe’s upper is made of soft black leather and have two zips alongside the laces that are made out of suede; complete luxury in a shoe. The black and white cons are timeless, so it’s nice to see a little ‘tweak’ to them without taking away from the original looks.
Pharrell on Mary J. Blige New Music
Jermaine Dupri released some footage from the studio where Pharrell talks about the new Mary J. Blige album. Jump to the 6:50 mark if you want to get right to the point….
Sacred Ink by Cedric Arnold
‘Sacred Ink’ is a photographic and multimedia installation exhibition by Cedric Arnold.
‘Sacred Ink’ features over 45 large format black-and-white photographs taken in Thailand, as well as sound, video and multimedia projections. It explores this unique subculture, its rituals, symbols and people.

The Barcode House
This house was designed by David Jameson Architect and is inspired by barcodes. Great space and I love that they could incorporate a little rooftop terrace.
Boardwalk Empire Season 2 Trailer
With the second season of How To Make It In America just around the corner and the season 2 of Boardwalk Empire premiering on HBO September 25th. There’s going to be some good watching in the coming months.
