Vittra Telefonplan School in Stockholm

In connection with the establishment of a new Vittra school in Stockholm, Telefonplan, Rosan Bosch has created the school’s interior with spatial divisions and significant custom design. The interior takes it point of departure in Vittra’s pedagogical principles and serves as a pedagogical tool for development in the everyday of the school. Instead of classical divisions with chairs and tables, a giant iceberg for example serves as cinema, platform and room for relaxation, and sets the frame for many different types of learning.

David Choe Just Made 200 Million USD for Painting the Facebook Office

This week Facebook announced that they will be going public in the near future. Along with the filing, they had to reveal the current ownership state of the company. In 2005 David Choe chose to be paid in stock rather than cash and it looks like that stock will be worth 200 Million USD, if Facebook will be valued on the open stock market at the estimated 100 Billion Dollar mark.

“In 2005, Mr. Choe was invited to paint murals on the walls of Facebook’s first offices in Palo Alto, Calif., by Sean Parker, then Facebook’s president. As pay, Mr. Parker offered Mr. Choe a choice between cash in the “thousands of dollars,” according to several people who know Mr. Choe, or stock then worth about the same.Mr. Choe, who has said that at the time that he thought the idea of Facebook was “ridiculous and pointless,” nevertheless chose the stock. Many “advisers” to the company at that time, which is how Mr. Choe would have been classified, would have received about 0.1 to 0.25 percent of the company, according to a former Facebook employee. That may sound like a paltry amount, but a stake that size is worth hundreds of millions of dollars, based on a market value of $100 billion. Mr. Choe’s payment is valued at roughly $200 million, according to a number of people who know Mr. Choe and Facebook executives.”

BBoy BATTLE OF THE YEAR 2010

B-Boys are still alive and kicking. I stumbled across this and break dancing battles still impress me and how technical their skills are. These finals were held in France.

DIE ANTWOORD: I fink your freeky

I thought these guys were a joke when I first saw one of their original film clips, but they’ve somehow grown on me. I don’t know if it’s because of the bizarre film clips or the South African hip hop music. Either way, they’re something different.

Nike Free Gym+

A lot of my girl mates that go to the gym will love these. The Nike Free Gym+ fits and feels like second-skin, but provides protection, additional cushioning, enhanced traction and complete natural flexibility. Ideal for the likes of yoga or training classes, the shoe features a split toe construction with extra traction on the big toe to allow stable barefoot-like gripping during even the most challenging single-leg moves and balances. It also uses instant comfort heel pads and arch support, and boasts an odor-absorbing lining derived from volcanic rock fibers. Worn barefoot, the Nike Free Gym weighs a minimal 5 oz., and is designed to provide comfort, traction, and a secure fit for maximum speed and reactivity.

HK War Games: Death Adder United Forces

Last weekend I organised for 16 of the boys from HK to do a day session of War Games in Sai Kung. For those who don’t know what War Games is – it’s like skirmish but you use high powered BB-Guns. That includes pistols, machine-guns, sniper rifles. Pretty much any real gun they use in the army you can get the replica in BB (airsoft) form. The majority of guys had never done it before so they were blown away by how real it feels being out on the different maps some more jungle style and other close quarters urban layouts. And let me tell you when you cop one of the BB pellets to the body. It bloody hurts! There were some serious war wounds by the end of the 5 hour session and a few games got personal between mates. But all in good fun. After the positive feedback from the day I’m currently organising another day out in a few weeks time. Here’s a group photo we took of the group that I retouched to look more like an old war photo.
