Bjork: Mutual Core
Icelandic singer, Björk, premiered today on MOCAtv the music video of “Mutual Core” with direction of the LA filmmaker Andrew Thomas Huang. The extraordinary and odd styles of the two artists combined perfectly to create a new extraordinary world.
Poolside: Seasons Change (Fall/Winter 2012 Mixtape)
“Seasons Change” is a new mix for crisp Autumn days as Winter approaches and the evenings get shorter and shorter. It’s a collection of melancholy tunes we put together while driving through the Northeastern States this past October to fit the moods that come with the changing of the seasons.

Pepsi MAX & Kyrie Irving Present: Uncle Drew: Chapter 2
Uncle Drew visits with a basketball legend who sends him on a mission to go out and get his old team back together. His first stop —- Los Angeles, CA. Players and spectators at the basketball court were told that they would be filmed for some “basketball b-roll footage” for a local TV station. Put it this way: these young bloods had no idea what was coming.
48 HOURS WITH THE SIDE STEPS QUINTET
Show some support to my little cousin back in New Zealand who has created a creating a music piece in 48 hours –
The Side Steps Quintet are of the Young, Gifted & Broke Label in Auckland, New Zealand.
Recently we took up the challenge of writing a piece of music in 48 hours, we then recorded it in Red Bull Studio then mixed, mastered it ourselves.
Oddly enough The Side Steps Quintet originally consisted of only two members, Si-Res & Dandruff-Dicky.
The Quintet grew organically to be true to it’s name over course of the last few months at regular live Improvisations led by the beats of the original 2 members thickened by each of their live instrumentation (Saxophone & Jazz Guitar.) & presented to the listener by Hone Be Good by way of free & written rhyme, using subtle microphone effects to compliment the musical style, usually accompanied by Tonga Vaea &/or Tyra Hammond to provide & an enchanting, honest & balanced Listening experience.
These live shows at times took place opening for the likes of Onra, Odissee & Dibiase.
From this foundation came the the opportunity to record the first installment of music by the quintet being Si-Res aka @Si_Res (Home Brew, Harbour City Electric Production), Dandruff-Dicky aka @Dandruffdicky (Home Brew, At Peace production), Tyra Hammond aka @TyraHammond (previously vocalist for The Open souls), Tonga Vaea aka @Tonga_Vaea (keys & trumpet for Home Brew, Three Houses Down & Oui groove) & Hone Be Good @Honebegood (MC/vocalist Oui Groove & the rest of the YG&B)
This project was a collaborative effort between the five members with the beat production by The Side Steps Quintet, Mixed by Dandruff-Dicky, Saxophone & Trumpet by Dandruff-Dicky & Tonga Vaea, Guitar by Si-Res, vocals written & recorded by Hone-Be-Good, Tonga Vaea & Tyra Hammond.
Below is a link to hear & download the music for free, secondly the group of artists we represent & lastly our Facebook.

Olafur Arnalds & Nils Frahm: Stare EP
Words from Nils Frahm:
“I heard ‘Eulogy For Evolution’ for the first time 6 years ago and I was totally captivated. Impossible to know back then that I was supposed to meet Ólafur many years later as my label mate. Later when he took me along a tour of his we also noted that we kind of like hanging out together, doing important things like cover versions of long forgotten songs or eating veggie pizza. Also he would join my live set for a jam and I would return the favour by playing along with his set.
All in all, I fell for Óli and after one memorable jam session we had in Berlin at Roter Salon in 2011, he finally proposed the idea to visit me in my studio in Berlin to work on ‘some music’. I was happy and delighted about that idea, so we got together in April 2011 and after having a big pizza, I plugged in some old analogue synths and we played for four days until late in the night. Also queen Anne Müller stopped by after a show with Agnes Obel to record some cello at 5 am in the morning for ‘b1’. Making music together with people is lovely!
The time I spent with Óli in Berlin made me very happy and the music wasn’t like anything I have heard before. It was all very reduced and minimal and I felt like I couldn’t have done this alone. So we decided to do another 4-day jam at Óli´s E7 studio in Reykjavik. So I flew there in the end of October to repeat the trick and record some out of this world ambient music. It didn’t take us too long to write ‘a1’ and ‘a2’. I can’t wait for the follow up!”
Words by Olafur Arnalds:
“After having toured together and having had many inspiring late night conversations, I decided to visit Nils in his Durton Studio in Berlin for a weekend. We didn’t have anything specific in mind, we just wanted to hang out, jam and eat some falafel. That’s what we did, but somehow we also made 25 minutes of ambient bliss that weekend.
After that we quickly decided we had to do the same in my studio in Iceland. Just hang out for a weekend and possibly make some music. So the album became kind of an Iceland vs. Berlin thing. I think you can hear it very well in the sound (side a vs. side b) and that is the most interesting thing about this record for me: that subtle but significant different in the characteristics of the music two people made in Iceland against what the same two people made in Germany.
I’m not sure why we decided to keep it secret, it just happened. But it sure was fun! I remember a party at Robert’s (Erased Tapes founder) flat in Berlin, where me and Nils stood in the corner the whole night whispering about the project. We then delivered the fully mastered record with finished artwork to Robert around the 5th anniversary of the label. It would have been nice to be there to see his face…”

XXYYXX: About You
Directed, Edited, Cinematography by Jeff VASH official video granted by Relief In Abstract Records inspired by xxyyxx.
xxyyxx is the moniker of 15-year-old Orlando musician, Marcel Everett. Marcel has an interest in chillwave, dubstep, and experimental indie, having played guitar for 5 years with no traditional training. He labels his music as self-proclaimed Fro-fi, an off-shot of the chillwave movement.
Marcel Everett is constantly changing his style. Marcel is heavily influenced by 80s new wave and r&b, maintaining interest in vinyl and old cassette collections. He’s likened to How to Dress Well, Toro y Moi, and Washed Out.
