Tokyo-based photographer and the envy of all men Yasumasa “YONE” Yonehara has maintained a title as a household name in the fashion industry. His insistent use of the Fuji Instax Mini instant cameras has spawned copycats and a sudden resurgence in the format with countless collaborative efforts, limited colors, and designs popping up in Asia and Western countries as well. When he doesn’t publish his work in EYESCREAM and numerous girl fashion magazines, Yasumasa can be found pushing his creative talent onto Instagram, with over 35,000 followers eagerly awaiting his erotic, sexy photographs of Asia’s most stunningly gorgeous models and friends. For our continuing Spaces series, we visit YONE’s personal studio Creeps Tokyo in the ultra-trendy Aoyama fashion district. Eclectic furniture, pop colors on the walls, props from decades past, and even friendly reminders of his work scattered all over, including the restroom, help to set the mood for this fun and comfortable location.

Lamborghini Miura GT Concept
The Lamborghini Miura is hands down one of our favorite vehicles of all time. Produced in limited quantities, only 764 to be exact, the supercar was considered by many to have started the whole trend of high performance two seaters sporting the mid-engine configuration.
Unfortunately for us the vehicle was not only limited, but it was produced back between 1966 to 1972 making it nearly impossible for anyone to get their hands on one. Although the Italian auto maker has never unveiled plans to resurrect the beloved model, the Lamborghini Miura GT Concept takes a look at what this late 1960s sports car would look like in 2013. The concept was created by graphic designer Alexander Imnadze, and equips the sports car with modern day technology like LED lighting, and the aggressive body lines found on current day Lamborghinis.

The designer further explains the origins of the name “Deluxe” and how his variety of influences lead to the creation of the tagline “Street Tailor” – a mixture between both street culture & high fashion.

Everything I do in the field of digital and concept art. I am still an amateur, because I need some time to focus on specific things to get better. I will add more paintings over time, as I do more and more personal work.
For a while now, about a year and a half, I’ve been active in the field of concept art and digital painting. I’ve been improving with a steady tempo, more and more with every new bit of work. I will share anything I can, since a lot of my stuff is not personal.
Monaco World’s Most Expensive Penthouse
Renowned for its casinos and yacht-filled marinas, Monaco has become a magnet for the richest and most discerning property tycoons in the world. Soaring to a height of 170m (557ft), the Odeon Tower will be the Mediterranean coastline’s second tallest building. The twin towers will contain 70 luxury apartments with between one and six bedrooms. Also available will be two sky duplexes and a 1,200sq m penthouse. Topping out the block will be a spectacular 3,300 sq metre multi-story penthouse complete with private water slide and exclusive infinity pool. One estimate for the value of this apartment suggests it could fetch as much as £256m when it is released onto the market in 2014. Each apartment will boast floor-to-ceiling windows and private terraces with panoramic views of Monaco, Larvotto beach and the Ligurian Sea. The block will have Russian and Turkish saunas, several swimming pools, private spas, a full-time concierge, private chauffeured limousines and a cinema. Housekeeping, dry cleaning and valet services will all be organised by residents from touchscreen controls in each apartment. As well as being within easy reach of the Italian Riviera, occupants can take advantage of annual local events such as Monaco’s Grand Prix and Jazz Festival. Excavation and demolition work began on the towers in 2009. Structural work is expected to be finished by July 2013 before work can begin on the facade. The entire project is expected to be completed by July 2014. The venture was the dream of architect Alexander Giraldi, a master of “belle epoque” design, which is inspired by the atmosphere of early 20th century Paris. The belle epoque (beautiful era) was a period between 1871 and 1914 which was characterised by optimism and peace in Europe, and scientific discoveries. Responsibility for the apartment interiors has been given to the Alberto Pinto agency, whose previous clients include Saudi Arabian royalty and American captains of industry. The grounds will be designed by prominent landscape architect Jean Mus.

mastermind JAPAN Loses Exclusive Rights to Skull Logo?
mastermind JAPAN was recently involved in a legal battle with fellow Japanese brand Roen after mastermind JAPAN claimed that Roen’s similar use of a stylized skull and crossbones logo constituted a violation of its trademark rights.
The friction between the two started as late as last year when mastermind JAPAN Co., LTD issued a warning to Roen on both March 11 and June 1 before filing to have Roen’s registration of its trademark invalidated. On December 3, Roen lost the rights to its skull logo and subsequently sought to have the motion repealed by presenting its case to the Intellectual Property High Court of Japan on January 10, 2013.
Although mastermind JAPAN has on several occasions issued warnings surrounding its logo to merchants selling similar products, this is the first time it has faced a lawsuit from another brand. As for Roen, the oral proceedings of its case will take place today. Stay tuned for further info.

Logitech Ultrathin iPad Mini Case
Our office’s iPad Mini has been keeping us busy and distracted the past few weeks and has indirectly led to at least 3 physical fights here at Highsnobiety HQ. That said, a solid case could come in handy right about now. We recently came across Logitech’s latest offeringwhich combines a protective magnetic case with a keyboard. Sounds perfect for our needs.
LEGO Mac
Yeah this one isn’t technically a gadget but it’s so cool and so close to being a gadget that we had to include it. Photographer Chris McVeigh came through on this one and promised to upload building instructions shortly. Fingers crossed he sticks to his word as this LEGO model seems even cooler than the original.

Cube 3D Printer
Even though 3D printers have been all the rage the past few months, it seems like no one actually has one or has even seen one in person. They’re like the Big Foot of technology. Perhaps that’s a testament to the type of people we hang out with more than anything else, but in any case a few 3d printers have allegedly come to the market and at reasonable prices to boot. The Cube 3D Home Printer is one of these and the contemporary design in combination with the plug-and-play connectivity makes it a front runner in the home 3D printer market. Pick up yours here.
